 "I had some anxiety about going to a boot camp because I don't like someone yelling at me or telling me what to do; I thought it would be some sort of militarized version of a workout.  Also, I work out regularly anyway and wondered if I could get any benefit from a boot camp.  AJ, however, runs his sessions with a lot of humor and simple encouragement, which made the whole experience something more than just the put-on of a drill instructor.  I also was surprised about how much pride he takes in the accomplishments of the people who attend his camps.  AJ cares about his people.



He instructs all sorts of creative exercises and has given me some new ones and pointers on proper form that have truly enhanced my normal workout routines.  The result is that, even though I considered myself in good shape before, I now look better because I have worked on parts of my body that I had just avoided out of habit and because those exercises were out of my comfort zone.  AJ has helped me re-think my workout and I am in much better all-around shape because of it.  AJ's direction and encouragement have been extremely helpful.
